At Nirvana Holistic Medicine, we proudly serve as a clinical training site for students and recent graduates pursuing careers in healthcare and technology. Our integrative clinic provides a collaborative, patient-centered learning environment that combines naturopathic, conventional, and functional medicine.
Our team includes Naturopathic Doctors (NDs), Medical Doctors (MDs), Certified Nutritionists, Nurses, Medical Assistants (MAs/MOAs), and IT Professionals, offering a unique and diverse clinical experience.

1. Nutrition Internship Program
Supervised by Dr. Shaundel Knights, a Certified BCNS Supervisor through the American Nutrition Association.
• Duration: 1000 hours over 1 year
• Format: In-person and virtual options
• Eligibility: Graduate-level students (Master’s or higher in Nutrition)
• Training Includes:
• Clinical nutrition care
• Functional diagnostics
• Supplement protocols
• Lab analysis and case studies
• Team-based care integration
2. Medical Assistant (MA), Medical Office Assistant (MOA), & Information Technology (IT) Externships
We are a certified externship site for allied health and IT students.
• Duration: 6 weeks
• Eligibility: Students in accredited MA, MOA, or IT programs
• Focus Areas:
• MA/MOA: Clinical procedures, patient flow, charting, and vitals
• IT: Healthcare systems, EHR support, telehealth setup, and data security
• Hands-on experience with real-time mentorship
3. Naturopathic Medical Residency
A 6-month clinical residency designed for naturopathic medical students or recent graduates.
• Format: Virtual, in-person, or hybrid
• Focus Areas:
• Botanical and functional medicine
• IV therapy and detoxification protocols
• Holistic treatment planning
• Patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
4. International Medical Student Rotation – Internal Medicine
We host international medical students for a 6-week internal medicine rotation with integrative exposure.
• Format: In-person preferred
• Supervision by MDs and NDs
• Clinical Focus Includes:
• Internal medicine cases
• Complementary treatment approaches
• Lab review and diagnostic skills
• Exposure to chronic care management
Rolling Admissions Year-Round
We offer rolling admissions for all clinical training programs.
